Segni d’infanzia, international festival of art and theatre for children, is a very important artistic event addressed to children, from the early childhood to the adolescence.
During eight days the town of Mantua welcomes artists coming from different countries performing in spectacles, workshops, artistic pathways, multidisciplinary performances that mix up music, paintings, theatre, sculpture in a continuous contamination between arts.
A plurality of codes, languages and instruments dealing with art and expressively created for  children, with the aim of offering a cultural proposal focused on children, that at the same time manages to involve and fascinate an adult audience.
Segni d’infanzia considers childhood as a “place of the soul”, full of creative possibilities, a source from which springs out creative images and stories not yet codified.
The festival has been conceived and thought to present children a high quality artistic proposal that offers children creative, emotional and stimulating inputs that they can absorb and revise in unexpected and brilliant ways.

Segni d’infanzia is supported by the Town Council of Mantua and it is part of “Mantua, town of festivals” project.
The festival, sponsored by the Ministry of cultural heritage and activities, also obtained the patronage and support of Delegation in Italy of the European Union Commission, Regione Lombardia, Mantua Province, Parco del Mincio, and sees the partnership of Slow Food and Unicef.
Segni d'infanzia was born in 2006 from an idea of Dario Moretti, and its has been organized in its frsts editions by Teatro all’improvviso, a professional company of young theatre, acknowledged by the Ministry of cultural heritage and activities since 1980. Since 2008 it has become an Association of Art and Culture that manages the art and the organizing direction of the festival.

Since its first edition the graphic sign of Segni d'infanzia has beeen created by Dario Moretti in cooperation with the children of the town of Mantua that every year thanks to their imagination helps in giving life to the animal symbol of the festival.

Segni d'infanzia is a festival “one year long” thanks to the fact that it organizes events, workshops and cooperation on the territory following the idea of a non-abstract culture able to bring wealthness in children lives.
