BATIDA (Denmark)
A vibrant and colourful ensemble of musical actors.
From the very outset The Batida Theatre Company has hung on to its principle of integrating live music and movement in its shows on equal footing with text and design. All music is performed live, it’s visible, and often staged and used in much the same way as choreography is in dance: as a form of expression in its own right.
Batida has developed its very own unique interacting theatrical style, and has over time created a wide range of shows, addressing all age groups – adults included. The shows are performed at Batida’s own theatre – a converted factory building in Copenhagen – as well as on tour in Denmark or anywhere in the world where they may find an audience. Batida has toured in 46 different countries.

The theater company « Cie Histoire De » was created in 2011 by Sabrina Lambert and Fanny Farel for an artistic project dedicated to families, known as La Balle Perdue.
A multidisciplinary theatre: the theater group tends to adjust their plays for young generations through pluri-disciplinary forms, mixing dance, song and both object and shadow theater. As taste is constituted from several savors, its inspiration comes from many languages. Indeed, their disciplines are meld into something to create their own way to communicate. There are the body, the voice, the materials, the aesthetic, the symbolism. The plastic construction is the focus of this particular work. Those scripts get invented through music, songs, images, but also within their emotional workload. Because theatre is a place of hope and utopia, in that way the communication towards the public never loses a sense of lightness, the wish to communicate with humor, love, unpretentiously and with generosity.
Sabrina Lambert comes from theatre that she has been practicing since 16 years (Théâtre du Contretemps, Vélo Théâtre, Collectif Sayzel, …). She has also been interested in dance since her early childhood (traineeships with Sharon Fridman, André Sitter). In 2013, she met, set her minds and developed songs (Les Castafiores Bazooka, Opéra comique, …). Because creation is movement and goes limitless, for her last project "Le chant des Baleines" (the song of Whales) she discovered plastic creation for the scenography and shadow theatre.

DE DANSERS (Netherlands)
De Dansers is a Utrecht-based company (NL) that creates "dance concerts": organic meetings of acrobatic modern dance and live music. Their performances celebrate youth, in both children and grown ups. They engage their audience with physical energy, humor, sincerity and togetherness. The company is expert in the first encounter with dance and creates work for children/families and for (young) adults who are used to believe - unjustly - that dance is not suitable for them. With over 130 performances a year, De Dansers reaches many visitors yearly both in the city of Utrecht, and,  nation-wide and internationally, in theaters, schools and (open air) festivals.

delleAli was founded in 1996 by a group of actors and entertainers featuring strong craftsmanship and interdisciplinary aimed at investigating influences between different forms of expression. Now delleAli is composed by Alessandra Anzaghi, Giada Balestrini and Antonello Cassinotti as artistic core.Despite the attention to aesthetic elements, the actor is considered as the theatrical and performative core, around which a picture must be drawn, where text / sound / light / image interact. delleAli is made by different souls: sound theatre, young theatre and community theatre. All of them are connected by each other in our poetic vision and in our theatrical residence delleAli with its artistic residency teXtura is having human, poetic and prospective experiences with libraries, theatre, exhibition spaces, local artists, kindergartens and elderly centers in the territory.
delleAli is member of Etre, residency network, and C.Re.S.Co, a contemporary italian theatre coordination group engaged in cultural policy.

For more than 45 years this historic children’s theatre company – founded by Pietro Fenati with Elvira Mascanzoni and Ezio Antonelli and organised by William Rossano and Sara Maioli – has been producing theatre works and interactive installations through a distinctive interweaving of artistic languages. Their puppet shows and interactive multi-sensorial exhibitions for an encounter between art and early childhood are among the most interesting works on the European scene, centred around the experiential factor of the little spectators-enjoyers. The use and refinement of the senses, the narrated and evocative word, fun learning: these make each production a living and necessary subject that cries out for participation. The Company directs and organises numerous child-oriented theatre events and festivals. Worth mentioning since it is in harmony with Small Size is Artebebè, a province-wide project of theatre, art and culture for early childhood which couples artistic quality with educational, social and recreational value. Artebebè came into being in 2009 with the aim of creating new forms of socialisation for infants and their families through encounters with the languages of theatre, music and the plastic and figurative arts. The project immediately became part of the Provincial Administration’s plan for promotion of its policies: safeguarding and accommodating infancy and adolescence, and therefore providing parenting support. Since 1991 Drammatico Vegetale is part of Ravenna Teatro, a Centre of Production.

exvUoto teatro (Italy)
exvUoto teatro was born in 2012 from the meeting of Andrea Dellai and Tommaso Franchin and their desire to tell stories. Antonia Bertagnon joins them immediately, bringing with her the strong experience of building a privileged relationship with the spectator gained within the Lemming Theatre of which she was the soul and founder.
exvUoto teatro builds relationships.
exvUoto teatro builds relationships through the stories it tells.
We search and find stories everywhere and we are convinced that thanks to these we can reweave the fabric of the society in which we live.
We create shows as if they were contemporary fairy tales, to look at our world from a little further away or from another point of view.
We like to immerse ourselves in the contemporary world and then jump out of it, like dolphins from the sea: they know how to play and prey.
We mix poetic language and popular mythology.
We talk to the very young and to generations before us.
Let's breathe in the time of the game.
We pursue lightness.
"Because lightness is not superficiality, but gliding over things from above, don’t have boulders on your heart. [...] Lightness for me goes with precision and determination, not with vagueness and abandonment to chance. "
[Italo Calvino]
For us, theatre is a key to understanding reality: we often and willingly leave the theatre and tell the places and cities through the eyes of those who see them for the first time.
We meet people, we look for and create relationships with the inhabitants of a neighborhood, a town, a city, a factory, with the ambition of rebuilding, together with them, the social fabric of their community.

Faber teater (Italy)
Faber as a blacksmith, craftsman, ours wants to be a theatre of craftmanship, an artist's workshop where you can learn, study, rejoice, search, stay. We focus on the work of the actor, group theatre, collective creation, we cultivate the actor-spectator relationship and we are in the continuous and exciting search for "our theatre" made up of thought, action, ideas, shows, exchanges, quality , commitment. We believe in the spectacular moment as an intense exchange of perceptions, emotions, energies, “stories” with the audiences, in the often unconventional places that host us.
Faber Teater was born in 1997 thanks to the intuition and vision of Aldo Pasquero (for years also the artistic director of the group with the precious collaboration of Giuseppe Morrone).
We believe in self-pedagogy and in the collective and individual research of a training, of a preparation for the scene that passes through different traditions coming from near and far worlds: from yoga to dance, from acrobatics to the use of stilts, from singing to narration, studying musical instruments. Since 2004 we have chosen to deepen the vocal, musical and pedagogical research with Antonella Talamonti, composer, trainer, teacher and vocalist, for twenty years collaborator of the Scuola Popolare di Musica of Testaccio in Rome.
Over the years we have confronted and collaborated with many men and women of theatre, whom we esteem, from whom we have learned a lot and with whom we have shared and keep sharing part of our pedagogical and artistic path including Mario Barzaghi, Claudia Contin and Ferruccio Merisi , Andrea Brugnera, Rocco De Paolis, Mario Chiapuzzo, Luciano Nattino, Gianni Bissaca, Paolo Nani.
We have created and toured the world many shows, in prestigious festivals in the great capitals and in the most remote villages, in historical theaters and small squares, for very few or hundreds of spectators.

Teatro all'improvviso (Italy)

Teatro all’improvviso was born in 1978. It takes its first steps in popular theatre and commedia dell’arte; then the curiosity and the need to face new forms of art deeply changed and transformed Teatro all’improvviso, that now focuses on image, poetry and gesture. To create art and theatre for children has always been the priority! Teatro all’improvviso produced shows for children from 3 to 10 years old only, trying to excite their thoughts and emotions, through play and abstraction.
The Company believes in a theatre that deals with any form of art, without any pedagogical or teaching purpose: the aim is to involve and provoke children with unexpected and evocative performances.

Teatro al quadrato was established in 2009 in Tarcento (UD) thanks to a common artistic and educational path. We are actors, technicians and artists who have met each other, shared dreams and joined together to do theatre performances: shows, labs, festivals and events dedicated in particular to young people.
We work in the province of Friuli and from 2010 even in Carpi (MO). We do our best to pass down to  kids our passion for theatre, its ability to tell stories that can touch deeply, despite the trends of the moment.

With its three halls and a foyer always animated by meetings, readings and different initiatives, the Teatro della Tosse is not only a home for the company - which also creates off-stage events and takes its shows on tour - but a crossroads for artists and companies from all over the world, where to offer the public a meeting place full of novelties and cultural stimuli.
Founded in 1975 by theatre and cultural personalities including Aldo Trionfo, Rita Cirio, Giannino Galloni, La Tosse had as its creators the director Tonino Conte and the set designer Emanuele Luzzati who were artistic directors until 2006-07.
Teatro Stabile Privato since 1995, in 1996 the Teatro della Tosse received the UBU special prize for its research activity.
In 2005 the Theater became the "Luzzati Teatro della Tosse Foundation". In addition to the change of statute, the great new element - after the death of Emanuele Luzzati in 2006 - is represented by the choice of a shared artistic direction on a three-yearly basis.
In 2007 Massimiliano Civica gave life to the three-year project “Let's do theater together”, referring, in its title, to the book by Conte and Luzzati (Einaudi, 1977) which had symbolically started the adventure of La Tosse. From the 2010-11 season Emanuele Conte is the artistic director of the Teatro della Tosse with the advice of director Fabrizio Arcuri: together they signed the three-year project “Notes on the future”. From the 2012-13 season the theater will launch for the first time in its history an eight-month long double season, with twenty titles divided between "In trionfo" and "Cantiere Campana" (from the names of the halls in which they take place) which give greater consistency to the project, anticipated by the creation of La Claque in Agorà (the third hall of the Sant'Agostino complex), to diversify and determine more and more the multiple souls that make up La Tosse.
Since January 2015, the artistic director has been Amedeo Romeo.
In March 2015, the Luzzati Foundation - Teatro della Tosse was recognized by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage as "Theater of Relevant Cultural Interest" (TRIC), the only one in Liguria together with the Teatro Stabile of Genoa.

Academic literary training, pedagogical study, theatrical apprenticeship with masters of Italian research, outline what will be the guidelines for Simona Gambaro's investigation into art. Where study, writing, dramaturgy and theatrical action (from the classical scene to the marginal places where theatre can miraculously happen, for everyone's use and scope) are mixed within a single philosophical tension: the search for a practice of living, a gaze, an art in constant dialogue with life, connecting to the present. An art of transformation.
It finds identity at present in MerakiTEatro conceived as a place of meetings, exchanges and contaminations, a container of ideas, an incubator for projects that open up from the theatre to the performing arts and experimentation with new artistic languages. Since it is not structured in a legal form, it lives thanks to collaborations, productions, organizational, administrative and financial support of the theatres and the structures that host its individual projects.
For "IDA" Simona Gambaro meets the trust and precious support of Fondazione Luzzati - TEATRO DELLA TOSSE which produces the show.

A singer-songwriter, poet, writer and phantasmagoric entertainer, Capossela is a 360° artist, who does not consider but, on the contrary, goes beyond the existing barriers between the different arts. He usually brings together theater, radio, writing, cinema in his artistic path.
His concert activity, both in Italy and abroad, is increasingly aimed at the representation of the work in the form of a show: he seems to have definitively devoted himself to a universal music-hall, where the song becomes theatre and vice versa.
In 2020 he is the artist who undertakes the image of the animal symbol of the XV edition of SEGNI New Generations Festival, the Whale. A great cetacean that recurs in his musical production and beyond, of which he undergoes the charm and majesty. A majesty that can be frightening, but conveys the idea of a necessary step to overcome fears, especially in the complex post-pandemic moment we are experiencing.
The Whale created by Capossela together with Claudia Losi is strongly material, contoured in white paper and lying on a blue accordion-like sea. In the belly of the “gentle giant of the seas” Vinicio has drawn himself with a table, a piano and a candle: he is creating.
The animal symbol of SEGNI 2020 also appears in the title of Capossela's famous album, “Marinai, profeti e balene" - Sailors, prophets and whales (2011), poised between music and literature, with echoes from Melville's Moby Dick, which is a plunge and re-emerge from the depths of the sea.
He has always been familiar with animals and symbols - from "Ballate per uomini e bestie” - Ballads for men and beasts to "Bestiario d’amore” - Bestiary of love (2020) - investigating their affinities with the human being.
