The Testimonial Artist was chosen from the Community of Segni

This year’s sea animal, symbolising people’s ability to adapt and connect, with a view to community and transgenerationality, was designed by Nicole Tecchio, a young artist from Monzambano (MN), class of 2000.

Given last year’s success, Segni has renewed the competition dedicated to young artists, this year between the ages of 15 and 30, to choose a totemic octopus on which to realise the Visual. The first classified has been awarded the title of Testimonial Artist 2024 and the prize of €500.00, which will be presented at the award ceremony on Sunday 3 November at 4 p.m. (this appointment will also be the occasion to award the first 3 classified in the two categories participating in the competition related to the Symbolic Animal ‘Colora e Racconta il Polpo’).

“Sono molto felice e grata a Segni per questa occasione! Quello che voglio fare nella vita è proprio l’illustratrice per l’infanzia e quindi sono onorata che sia stato scelto il mio disegno per il visual di questa edizione anche e soprattutto perché condivido l’idea di infanzia e di nuove generazioni che SEGNI Festival porta avanti”  Nicole Tecchio

“I am very happy and grateful to Segni for this opportunity! What I really want to do in life is to be an illustrator for children, so I am honoured that my drawing was chosen for the visual of this edition, also and above all because I share the idea of childhood and the new generations that SEGNI Festival brings forward” Nicole Tecchio
